My Life Changed When I Learned How To Play Guitar Online
I remember back in the sixties growing up. All I wanted was a guitar, but mom and dad, mostly dad, thought it would just lead to a life of drugs and hardship. Instead of the guitar I was hoping for at Christmas, each year I recieved underwear.
Eventually I was on my own, finally, and you guessed it. Almost the first thing I bought was an acoustic guitar.
I bought a couple of beginner guides on how to play guitar online as there was world wide web back then. I was also pretty shy and couldn’t carry a tune so I didn’t want to hire someone to teach me.
It didn’t take long before I was so frustrated I just up and quit trying. Then after a couple of months with the guitar sitting in the corner taunting me I gave it away. Then life got busy, I got married, we had a kid, you know the story.
Actually it was twenty some years later and my interest had changed from guitar to computers and became a career computer instructor.
One year when class returned after Christmas we were talking about the things we got for Christmas.
One student immediately spoke up, you could tell immediately she was annoyed. She told us that her boneheaded husband never listens to her and went on to explain what she didn’t get.
She told us she’d been asking for a computer scanner for months. It would help her with her new business and was the reason she was taking my course. But did she get a scanner for Christmas, not even close. Her husband gave her a cheap guitar.
We couldn’t help but to laugh again but at the same time my brain was thinking about that guitar she got.
Life had become so busy I had not even thought about playing guitar for many years.
My brain was telling me that now that we have the Internet I could find all kinds of ways to learn guitar. I could get ebooks online so I wouldn’t need to buy another book I couldn’t return. I could also get guitar training online and even guitar training software at places like at Jamorama.
Gail wanted a scanner, not a guitar. I, as a computer nerd had more than one scanner so I said we should swap with each other. Gail nearly jumped out of her chair. I thought she was going to hug me or something. She said I’ll have the stupid guitar here tomorrow if that’s okay.
She was waiting in the parking lot when I arrived. She was never early, always on time but never early. I guess she was excited as I was. I was the proud owner of an acoustic Yamaha 425 guitar.
I learned to play guitar when I was 47. Today I’m pushing 58 and pick my guitar up and play every day.
You can learn to play your guitar online today, it’s so cool. Get Your Free Guitar Course at Jamorama.
Why Are Scales Essential To Learn On Guitar?
Guitar scales are likened to different ingredients used in cooking, the more ingredients you have, the more diversity you can add to your menu. Identical for guitar, if you merely know 2 scales, you are limited to just that – 2 scales. Scales are likewise employed to reflect the mood of the music. Usually, minor is sad and major is happy. Without getting too much into music theory, in whole guitar scales are useful for four reasons:
1. Scales are a collection of notes that when taken collectively help form a certain feeling, mood, or texture. For example, if you want to compose a sad song, you wouldn’t pick out chords from the major scale, you’d get them from the minor scale. That’s one of the biggest benefits of grasping the concepts of scales (and in music theory in general), it helps give you a direction to commence from if you want to produce a particular mood or feeling. How To Find A Perfect Guitar For Kid
Previously I’ve made an article on what is the best way to find the best beginner guitar. Today I have made up my mind to write about finding the perfect guitar for kid. The reason I’ve made up my mind to do that is because there are plenty of kids that want to learn how to play guitar and their mother and father do not know anything about it. One of the biggest difficulties these poor parents face is choosing the best beginning guitar for their kid to learn on. While you don’t want to buy something extremely expensive, since you do not know if your kid is even going to stick with it for longer than a few days, you also do not want something too cheap, as it can make it very difficult for your child to practice. Inexpensive guitars go out of tune frequently and brake all the time. The challenge many parents come across is figuring out the way where both parents and children can be happy.
